How many old £1 coins are in your piggy banks?

With the deadline looming to spend any old £1 coins, do you know how many old coins are still in your possession?

We asked nimbl and parentpay users and of 22,394 children surveyed, the number of old £1 coins totalled nearly £115,000, averaging £5 per child.

Our research revealed that almost 25% of children are planning to spend their coins before the deadline and more than 10% plan to keep the old coins.

Official guidance from the Royal Mint encourages consumers to spend, bank or donate their old £1 coins before October 15.

What are you planning to do with your old £1 coins? Let us know!
