Did you know that when your child spends online, they may now also be asked to approve transactions? There is nothing to worry about as this change has been introduced to enable your child to spend securely online.
3D Secure is a security feature and fraud protection tool that is designed to reduce card fraud by checking that is really your child buying something online. There is nothing to worry about – nimbl already has 3D Secure in place.
To enable your child to approve their own online payments, they need the latest version of the nimbl app via the Apple Store or Google Play. You will also need to set up your child’s log in details so they can access the nimbl app.
Your child will be able to approve their own payments if they have the nimbl app. If you wish to approve the payments on behalf of your child you can easily change this under Spending Controls. Here is how:
All retailers should be able to handle 3D Secure transactions, however, some might not yet be ready. If your child is making an online purchase that requires extra security checks, but the retailer isn’t using 3D Secure, their payment may be be declined. If this happens, we encourage you to get in touch with the retailer to see if you can pay them another way.
