Global Money Week 2018

Money Matters Matter. Learn more by taking part in Global Money Week

Are you taking part in Global Money Week 2018? If not you should be. It’s an annual financial awareness campaign built by CYFI (Child & Youth Financial International) to inspire children and young people to learn about money matters, livelihoods, and entrepreneurship held in March every year. This year it’s this week (12 – 18 March) with events happening…you guessed it, globally!

Last year 7.8 million children & youth took part in 137 countries with over 72,759 activities held by 23,738 organizations! Everyone who believes in investing in the next generation is encouraged to participate. We think it’s great and hope as many people as possible take part and continue to use what they learn during the week as they go on.

How to take part

Do an activity

Global Money Week has several activities running around the globe, some of which are listed on their site which those wishing to take part can use as inspiration for their own activities if they aren’t close to any of the ones listed.

Connect with others

The team at Global Money Week have created dedicated hashtags that can be used to find people taking part in activities that week and to help build connections with everyone taking part. Using their hashtags on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram you can easily connect with other participants or even ask questions to companies taking part!

The hashtags for this year are: #GMW2018 #GlobalMoneyWeek #MoneyMattersMatter

Challenge yourself!

Global Money Week has a number of challenges for everyone to take part in which started Monday including:
